GP Surgery at Rye Medical Centre
Phone Number: 01797 223333
Appointment Opening Times: 08:00- 18:00 - Mon- Fri. Emergency appointments 08:00-08:30
In response to the evolving concerns relating to the Coronavirus and to enable our ongoing ability to provide essential medical care
we have changed our booking process so that all appointments will be triaged by a clinician on the telephone. The clinician will then decide if a face to face appointment is appropriate.
Please do NOT enter the building for an appointment unless one of our clinicians has telephoned and advised you to attend
You can also request an online consultation at
www.ryemedicalcentre.com/online-consultation-system
Tell us about your problem and request medical advice, or ask an administrative question and we’ll respond usually within 2-3 hours if the request is submitted before 2pm on our usual practice working days.
GP Surgery at Ferry Road
Phone number: 01797 223230
Although at the present time their are no face to face appointments,
patients wanting medical advice can do so by ringing the surgery and asking for a telephone triage call. Could patients please ring at 8:30 on the day to be included for this (as they would for a normal appointment) This way the GP can plan their list.
A GP will then call them back, and either deal with the problem/query over the phone or give the patient a time slot to attend the surgery if they feel appropriate.
Patients can also contact the surgery via the 'Online consultation' section on our website -
www.ferryroadhealthcentre.net They fill out a form with their details and their enquiry and they will either receive a response electronically (usually within four hours if received before 7:30 am 11:30am) or the GP will call them.
Some services are going ahead as normal, baby immunisations, some blood tests etc.

We need to restrict numbers coming to the surgery to reduce the risk of people becoming infected. Therefore we must make some changes to our normal working practices. No patients to attend the surgery with any upper respiratory symptoms ie. temperature, cough, cold, sore throat. If there is any doubt when you speak to reception, they will ask the doctor to call you first before receiving an appointment.
Although at the current time our focus is on coronavirus, we are very aware that people still become unwell with other problems. If you develop new symptoms, or feel unwell, you should still contact the surgery for medical advice. We may be able to solve your problem over the phone but some conditions stilll need to be examined and we will remain available to see patients when it is clinically necessary.
